  Property Description

Northern Exposure Nantucket is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath vacation rental home
near the center of town on Nantucket. Near bike paths, beaches,
restaurants, banking/ATM, and grocery stores. Nantucket, Massachusetts is
thirty miles off the coast of Cape Cod. Nantucket is the perfect place to
relax on a beach, eat some seafood, and enjoy the North Atlantic surf.
Nantucket was once the whaling capital of the world (Moby Dick, Herman
Melville's classic novel, used the island as his influence). Today,
Nantucket is a vacation paradise that can include surf fishing, golfing,
tennis, shopping, historical sight-seeing, or touring the Colonial and
Victorian homes. Nantucket has miles of secluded beaches with plenty of
sand to go around. Children's Beach, just west of Steamship Wharf, is great
for kids due to the calm waves and nearby park playground. Surfers flock
to Cisco Beach, located about 4 miles south of Nantucket Town. For some
great scenic views, take the Madaket bike path to Dionis Beach. Gentle
waves and high bluffs make this a great beach for either swimming or
sight-seeing. Locals gush about the sunsets at beautiful Madaket Beach.
Sugary white sand, vibrant, singing waves, and all amenities make this
beach a must-see. Nantucket is a great fishing destination with surf
fishing, deep-sea fishing and fly fishing available. Tackle shops, surf
fishing/fly fishing guides and charter boats can provide everything you
need for a day on the sea. Bluefish and Striped Bass are the most
frequently caught species. The Nantucket Whaling Museum chronicles the
whaling industry that dominated the island's economy in the 19th century.
One of the exhibits is the Essex, a whaling ship that was rammed and sunk
by an 80-ton sperm whale in the South Pacific.
